Top marks for crews at Schools Regatta

New Ross Boat Club were well represented at the Schools Regatta in Limerick on Sunday 26 April, with a strong squad racing for Presentation Kilkenny, Good Council College and CBS New Ross. It was a superb weekend of racing and camaraderie, with coaching support provided throughout by Talitha Doran.

Orla and Niamh Brennan raced for Presentation Kilkenny, while Sean Power and Henry Roche represented Good Council College. The remainder of the New Ross Boat Club team competed for CBS New Ross: Ben Cashman, Darragh Dreelan, Liam Crotty, Cormac Crotty, Aogan Slater, Jack Mythen, Janey May Cashman and Zara Quigley.

The event produced a mix of timetrial and championship racing across a number of crews, and every boat contributed to a positive and successful club showing. Particular congratulations go to the crews that reached the finals and podium places, including Niamh and Orla Brennan, who finished 3rd in the final of the WJ182x, Orla Brennan, who placed 4th in the final of the WU23 1x, and Ben Cashman and Darragh Dreelan, who finished 3rd in the final of the MU23 2x after winning their heat.
